FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN
The Beanstalk provides an accelerated program for
“the parent who wants more” for their child!
A pre-screening process assesses if the child is prepared to enter our program and thrive educationally. The Beanstalk program is for the self-motivated child who seeks enrichment in social studies, science, math, reading, and language. Our program moves quickly, with the children actively participating in the learning process.
Children who graduate from this program thrive in first grade at public or private schools and are usually recommended for enrichment programs during their first few elementary years due to their learning foundation from our program.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Beanstalk Academy's role in the educational process is to provide the following:
A solid foundation for the child's educational process by way of developmental learning theory.
Individualized instruction that strengthens the child's thinking skills, fine/gross motor skills, language development, social interaction, and creativity.
Positive role models to mirror good work habits, create work styles, promote cooperative learning skills, and build "teamwork" skills.
A stimulating environment where children may grow and learn creatively and are encouraged to try new activities that will expand their cognitive growth and learning process.
Positive self-esteem and self-awareness for the child.
THE BEANSTALK ACADEMY students stand out as critical thinkers, leaders, team players, and well-balanced individuals who respect others' feelings in their next learning environment.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Beanstalk Academy’s Full Day Kindergarten provides a solid foundation for the child’s formal educational process. Positive personal attributes are formulated through strong independence, self-worth, self-motivation, and the willingness to “reach” and try new experiences.
Reading is taught through many collective developmental methods, such as phonetics, phonemics, and whole language methods. Your child’s abilities will be challenged and they will be able to read with ease and confidence as a result.
Math skills are taught through a “hands-on” manipulative approach to strengthen skills such as addition, subtraction, patterning, sorting, classifying, and graphing.
The Language Arts are taught through writing, creative storytelling, journaling, and spelling. There are many collective class activities each week to combine language development and create group stories together.
Science lessons are “hands-on,” involving classroom experiments. Many seasonal science units are taught each week to enhance your child’s learning process.
Social Studies is taught through art, language development, cooking projects, and music enrichment. We study many countries and their indigenous celebrations, including Las Posadas (Mexico), Chinese New Year, St. Patrick’s Day (Ireland), and others.
